Gelöst AVI mp4v mpga Dateien nicht lesbar auch nicht mit dem VLC

Hallo, leider kann ich unter OpenSuse 132. KDE nicht mit kaffeine, VLC 2.1.5 nicht AVI mp4v mpga Dateien abspielen oder lesen, ich habe jetzt einfach mal nachfolgende Anleitung aus dem Netz auspropiert:

War das eine gute oder eher schlechte Idee ? Jedenfalls kaffeine läßt nur bis 50 % aktualisieren und meldet sich YAST automatisch und nichts geht mehr. Ich werde jetzt mal das System neu starten und mal, jedesfall kann ich weiterhin nicht die obigen Filme und Dateien abspielen, egal ob Festplatte oder DVD.

Bei anderen Linux Distros ist das eigentlich recht problemlos möglich oder was mache ich unter OpenSuse 132 KDE falsch ? Vielleicht sitzt das Problem ja auch vor dem Bildschirm ?

Wenn ich versuche kaffeine zu starten werde ich automatisch aufgefordert es zu aktualisieren, dann mache ich das, meldet sich bei etwa 50 % Softwarestand YAST unaufgefordert mit den konfigurierten Softwarereporisoritas und ich komme hier irgendwie einfach nicht weiter, Bildschirmfoto habe ich davon gemacht, wie könnte ich das hiermit beifügen oder hochladen ?
Jedenfalls komme ich hier einfach nicht weiter, auch nach einem Neustart besteht das Problem weiterhin.

Hallo, zumindestens habe ich jetzt mit der Installation vom VLC -noX-2.2.1-289.2.x86_64-1.rpm, dass Hauptproblem vermutlich gelöst, avi Dateien werden jetzt neuerdings gelesen, Download von der

Seite. Ich habe aber weiterhin noch das Problem, dass sich der kaffeine nicht mehr updaten läßt, bei 50 % bleibt er stehen, da sich wie gesagt dann immer YAST meldet und nichts geht mehr. Einfach kaffeine deinstallieren, das wäre wahrscheinlich die einfachste Lösung, gibts noch eine bessere ?

Also vielleicht einen Link wo ich das erstmal lernen kann, denn ich bin derzeit noch extrem beschäftigt die ganzen anderen Linux Installationen, rund 15 oder mehr, ich weiss es gar nicht genau, auf dem Laufenden zu halten und leider ist ja nicht jedes Linux gleich, was die Pakete, Terminal Befehle etc. angeht, Beispiel Debian und OpenSuse, hier ist doch einiges stark unterschiedlich, obwohl beides ja Linux ist.

Mein Problem ist, ich kann mich derzeit noch nicht zwischen Debian / OpenSuse / PClinuxOS und evtl. noch Ubuntu Studio entscheiden und solange ich hier dieses Problem nicht lösen kann, bin ich eigentlich ständig mit Linux überfordert.

Dein Ansatz in allen Ehren, aber damit machst Du dir das Leben selbst unnötig schwer. Such Dir eines davon aus und lerne das detailiert kennen, bis Du sattelfest bist. Umsteigen kannst Du immer noch, so unterschiedlich sind die einzelnen Distributionen jetzt auch nicht, dass das unmöglich wäre.
Und wenn Du unbedingt dutzende Distributionen testen willst, dann mach das in einer Virtualisierungs-Umgebung, anstatt einer MultiBoot-Umgebung oder via Live-Versionen auf USB-Sticks...

Mal eine allgemeine Info an dich, OpenSuse132, ohne dir jetzt zu nahe treten zu wollen,...

Wie du sicherlich schon festgestellt hast, macht es dir sehr viel Arbeit, all die gleichzeitig installierten Linux Betriebssysteme auf dem Laufenden zu halten.
Du kannst dir das Leben um einiges erleichtern, indem du einfach hergehst, und dich einfach einmal auf eine Linuxdistribution festlegst. Ich würde dir in diesem Fall zu Opensuse oder Ubuntu raten. Wieso? Weil diese am einfachsten sind und du hierzu jede Menge Infomaterial findest. Auch gibt es entsprechende Bücher zu diesen Versionen. Für Opensuse kannst du dir z.B. den "Kofler" besorgen oder auch im Netz nach Informationen zu Opensuse suchen. Für Ubuntu gibt es z.B. auch ein Buch, das online gelesen werden kann. Dies ist allerdings für die 12.04 LTS Version,...
Ein Buch über Linux allgemein gibt es auch online,...

Mache dir das Leben mit Linux also nicht zu schwer und entscheide dich für eine Distribution, die momentan für dich am Meisten in Frage kommt, und wähle diese aus. Im Nachhinein kannst du immer noch auf eine andere Distribution umsteigen. Und da bist du wahrlich nicht der erste, der dies macht.

also den Michael Kofler vo 2011 in der noch etwas älteren Ausgabe habe ich, desweiteren habe ich über den Rheinwerk Verlag Debian Heike Jurzik die 5. aktualisierte Auflage von 2013, auch schon wieder uralt, derzeit gibt es meines Wissens nichts Neueres oder ?

Von OpenSuse welches Buch würdest Du mir dazu empfehlen können ?

Ich habe mich von Anfang an auf Debian fokussiert, merke aber mittlerweile im Vergleich die doch erheblichen Vorteile von OpenSuse, aber meines Erachtens ist das Debian Forum aus meiner persönlichen Erfahrung her, einfach unschlagbar, freundlich, kompetent und extrem hilfsbereit, ähnliches sehe ich hier im OpenSuse Forum, aber im Debian Forum habe ich mittlerweile rund 200 Beiträge selbst verfasst und eigentlich nur, bis auf ein paar berechtigte Ausnahmen, positive Rückmeldungen und wirklich sehr gute Hilfsbereitschaft erfahren.

Nur Debian verlangt vom Nutzer wesentlich mehr Kenntnisse, nicht nur was die Installation angeht, sondern überhaupt im Allgemeinen,

den die Installation beherrsche ich schon fast im Schlaf, hier ist meines Erachtens die Experteninstallationsroutine von Debian Jessie 8.0 amd64 einfach nur Spitze und logisch in sich, auch sehr verständlich aufgebaut,


während das OpenSuse doch manchmal etwas unklar und merkwürdig ist, Punkt MBR Installation, hier wird schon sehr unklar gefragt, wo soll denn nun MBR Boot installiert werden in root, boot oder ?

Da ich jetzt mittlerweile Weltmeister ( im übertragenen Sinn ) im Installieren von Linux Distros bin, glaube ich das beurteilen zu können.

Immer aus der Sicht eines Linux Anfängers gesehen. Für einen Profi ist das sicherlich alles klar und eindeutig.

Die Ubuntu Installationen sind so etwas von leicht und einfach und hier ist es wirklich fast egal welche, ausser die Linux Mint Debian Version, die ist aktuell und auch die alte Version derzeit defekt und muss unbedingt was die Intallationsroutine angeht, überarbeitet werden, hier habe ich es mittlerweile aufgegeben, es zu installieren, geht einfach nicht ( ca. 5 verschiedene DVDs gebrannt, keine funktioniert) und überprüft,

Unbuntu zu installieren ist einfach nur Kinderkram, dass kann wirklich fast jeder und selbst ich habe es noch nicht geschafft, hier etwas falsch zu machen.

Ich möchte auch gerne etwas herausgefordert werden und deswegen habe ich mich auch eine Zeitlang sehr intensiv mit PCLinuxOS KDE fullmonty auseinandergesetzt, für mich eine echte Herausforderung, da alles in Englisch ist und erst später nach der Installation auf deutsch mittels addlocale umgestellt wird. An sich auch eine sehr interessante, windowsähnliche Linux Distro, weil hier ähnlich wie bei OpenSuse die meisten gebrauchten Programme mit an Board sind, bei der Erstinstallation, während ich bei Ubuntu und Debian ich nach der Installation erstmal anfange die Programme wie Nautilus K3B und Co. nachzuinstallieren.

Irgendwo stehe ich dazwischen mit meinem Halbwissen und dafür benötige ich einfach mal Hilfe, selbst mit dem Debian GNU/Linux Buch von Heike Jurzik, was nützt mir das Handbuch, wenn ich NICHT verstehe, was drin steht oder ?

Auch habe ich ständig Probleme mit dem Index bzw. Stichwortverzeichnis, hier finde eigentlich nie das was ich suche, nur über Umwege. Ich benötigte also eine Anleitung wie ich mit dem Buch richtig umgehe, noch nicht gefunden.

Deshalb suche immer noch einen guten gemischten Anfänger / Profikurs für Linux Distros, bisher vergeblich auch die http://www.lugrudo.de/ in Dortmund bietet nur begrenzt das an, was ich mir vorstelle, also einmal optimale Unterstützung bei schwierigen Fragen wie Multiboot Windows / Linux und Terminal Eingaben und Co.

Bisher habe ich hierzu noch nichts gefunden. Ich suche weiter.

kann ich anhand der Paketinstallationen die hier als Komplettlösungen für OpenSuse 13.2 KDE vorgeschlagen werden, diese einfach übernehmen und ausführen oder besteht da für mich ein gewisses Risiko, dass ich mir mein System damit zerschiesse ? Wer hat Erfahrung mit dieser englischen Seite ?
Kann man das guten Gewissens empfehlen oder wie kann ich als Anfänger testen, ob das Ganze auch sinnvoll und korrekt funktioniert ?

Gibt es auch im deutschsprachigen Raum ähnliche Links und Seiten im Netz, da einem ja hier sehr viel Arbeit abgenommen wird oder ?

Kofler von 2011 ist ok, wir sind hier nicht bei Windows.

Das Abspielen mehr oder weniger exotischer Videoformate einzurichten, ist vielleicht keine für Linux-Anfänger geeignete Aufgabe. Stell' das vielleicht erstmal zurück, bis Du Dich insgesamt besser auskennst.
