Neuinstallierte 11.4 läßt sich nicht updaten

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe hier so leichte Probleme.
Da ich hier kein Proxy habe, die Maschine neu aufgesetzt ist, dachte ich eigentlich, das es funktionieren sollte.

Ein

endet niemals, und als ich die Datei mit Firefox laden wollte, klappte es auch nicht.

Also habe ich einen Test mittels wget gemacht.

Ich habe ihn abgebrochen, da kommt nichts mehr.
Auch ein wget -4 (force IPv4) brachte keine Änderungen

Auch wenn ich nun andere HTTP- oder FTP-Server (http://packman.jacobs-university.de/ oder http://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/packman/ oder ftp://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/packman/ )nehme, klappt es nicht.
Also wird das Paket wohl defekt sein.

Also verzichte ich drauf, und mache erstmal ein

Sind die Repos corrupt, oder was ist da los ?

Die Repos sind die default, welche openSuse 11.4 automatisch hat, zusätzlich Packman und libdvdcss, die BuildService habe ich erstmal deaktiviert.

Brachte nichts, gleiche Fehler wie vorher.

Die Zeile war aber doch dafür da, einen konfigurierten Proxy zu umgehen, oder nicht ?
Proxy habe ich keinen, hat die Maschine auch nie gesehen.

Ein Netzwerksniff zeigte mir nach ca. 16kB (16.158 Bytes bzw. 16416 Bytes) an Daten, dass der Quellserver nur noch die Zeichenkette rootrootrootroot... gesendet hat.
Solange, bis im TCP der ACK von meinem Client an den Server verloren geht, und der Server meldet "TCP Previus Segment lost"
Auch bei anderen Mirror's, immer nach 16158 bzw 16416 Bytes das gleiche Verhalten.

Verwende mal http://ftp3.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/update als Update Repo. Tritt das Problem dann immer noch auf?

Also egal welchen Server ich eintrage, es klappt nicht.

Ich habe heute aber mal weiter versucht und dabei das Kabel und den Switchport gewechselt.
kein Erfolg.

Ich habe mir dann mal zwei PCI-Netzwerkkarten geliehen und eingebaut.
Die Intel xxx lief ohne Probleme, die andere 3C905 wieder nicht.

Es können doch nicht beide 3Com-Karten defekt sein.

In meiner Not habe ich dann mal das Netzwerk neu gestartet

und sie an, es klappte (fast)
Er lud ca. 20MB runter, und blieb wieder stehen.

Nochmal Netzwerk restart, und er lud wieder 20MB.

Scheinbar gibt es bei mir ein Problem mit dem 3C59x-Modul unter openSUSE11.4
Mein Verdacht, er füllt den Buffer und kann ihn dann nicht (schnell genug) abarbeiten.

Das Modul sollte doch eigentlich schon laaaange erprobt und im Einsatz sein.
Also muss der Fehler auf meinem System liegen.

Wie grenze ich ihn jetzt weiter ein / behebe ihn ?

Es liegt nicht am repro oder der Netzwerkkarte! Vermutlich ist es die Namensauflösung, die von zypper / yast genutzt wird. Sobald download.opensuse.org und andere durch die jeweilige I/P-Adresse ersetzt werden klappt alles...

Ich habe noch nicht nachgeforscht wie curl damit zusammenarbeutet, jedoch hatte keine weitere Anwendung, die die Namensauflösung benutzt (firefox oder ping zB) Probleme die IP zu bestimmen. Nur zypper und yast scheitern. ggf liefert dies einen Anhaltspunkt.

Temporär habe ich alle Servernamen durch I/P ersetzt.

PS. ich hatte das Problem auf einem eeepc, der desktop verhielt sich sauber.
