Probleme nach update von 11.0 auf 11.1

Hallo zusammen

Ich habe am Wochenende mein Suse von 11.0 auf 11.1 per DVD upgedated (keine Neuinstallation).

Nachdem das Problem mit der fehlerhaften Monitoreinstellung relativ schnell geloest war, bereitet mir aber YAST2 oder u.a. auch INSTALLIEREN VON SOFTWARE einiges an Kopfzerbrechen, weil es einfach nicht mehr funktioniert.

In der Konsole kann ich YAST2 starten, aber mit GUI darf ich das root-Passwort eingeben und das war's dann.

Gibt es eventuell mittlerweile ein update, welches dieses Problem loest oder eine Schritt fuer Schritt Anleitung eines anderen Weges fuer nicht Linux Profis?

Mein Tipp:
Mach in einer Shell via "zypper" (oder eben yast, wenn es funzt) ein Update und schau dann, ob YaST wieder normal "arbeitet".

Wenn der Dialog fürs Root-Passwort kommt, ist dann ein Haken bei Passwort merken gesetzt? Wenn ja, rausnehmen.

Ich habe gar nicht die Möglichkeit einen Haken zu setzen. :/

Hier die Meldung die ich erhalte, wenn ich Yast2 in der Konsole starte. Es kommt die GUI und dann folgende Fehlermeldung.

Beim Laden oder Speichern der Konfiguration von y2controlcenter-gnome ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. Einige Ihrer Konfigurationseinstellungen könnten nicht richtig funktionieren.

Vielleicht hilft es ja bei der Fehlersuche.

hör mal, verwendest du gnome?

Ich hatte vor ein paar Wochen ein ähnliches Problem. Habe auch einige Updates gefahren an meinem Desktoprechner und plötzlich konnte ich yast auch nicht mehr starten. Bei der Eingabe von yast2 in der Konsole kam dann bei mir auch so eine komische Meldung, wo ich irgendwas über gnome lesen konnte, ich das aber überhaupt nicht installiert hatte.
Ich konnte dann yast nur noch in der Konsole starten über die Eingabe yast. yast2 ging dann nicht mehr.
Bei mir war es so, dass ich dann direkt aus dem Dateimanager heraus " Softwareinstallieren und löschen" starten musste, damit ich Software installieren konnte.

Evlt liegt hier bei dir das gleiche oder ein ähnliches Problem vor. Abhilfe schaffte ich mir dann, indem ich mal alles rausgelöscht habe, was mit yast und gnome zu tun hatte.
Danach funktionierte alles wieder wie gewohnt.

So, nun habe ich mal mit KDE 4.1.3 gestartet und Yast funktioniert mit GUI wie gewohnt.

Scheint also ein Problem mit Gnome zu sein, da unter XFCE Yast, zwar mit funktionierender GUI, aber aus der Konsole heraus gestartet werden muss. :???:

Ich verstehe das jetzt so, dass das unter KDE exakt so aussieht, wie Du es von Gnome gewohnt bist. Das würde allerdings bedeuten, dass Du vorher unter Gnome die ganze Zeit mit der Qt-Oberfläche gearbeitet hast, da Gnome eigentlich die etwas anders aussehende GTK-Oberfläche verwenden sollte. War zumindest bei mir immer so.

Hast Du mal versucht, YaST2 mit der Option --gtk aus der Konsole zu starten?

Sorry, da habe ich mich etwas unklar ausgedrueckt.
Die Oberflaeche unterscheidet sich schon von der unter Gnome. Wollte nur sagen, dass ich unter KDE Yast nicht aus der Konsole starten muss.

Ergebnis....Direkt unter Gnome keine Änderung, unter XFCE jetzt genauso wie direkt unter Gnome GUI funktioniert nicht mehr. :nosmile:

Hmmm...sieht nicht so aus, als würde irgendwas fehlen. Leider ist Gnome seit der letzten Neuinstallation nicht mehr installiert bei mir, deswegen kann ich nicht selbst testen.

5 geht gar nicht, wie oft brauchst du das Updaterepo? Und die Masse ist da bestimmt nicht von allein reingewandert. Und bitte solche Ausgaben in Code-Tags posten.

Zum aufräumen (wird wahrscheinlich noch mehr kommen):

Repo Nr. 14 Videolan sollte nicht gleichzeitig mit Repo 15 Packman eingebunden sein, da oftmals Probleme. Alle Programme von Videolan auf die entsprechenden Packman Programme umstellen und Videolan deaktivieren oder sogar rauswerfen.

Die 1 brauchst Du eigentlich nicht. Dafür hast Du ja die 14. Dieses Repo brauchst du auch nur einmal und dann nie wieder. Gibt nur Ärger in Verbindung mit Packman, also besser löschen!
Die 23 - 26 sind doppelt und können daher raus. Was den Rest betrifft:
Ein "alpha-Repo" (die 22), nun ja, wer's braucht...
Hast Du Gnome und KDE installiert?
Ist ja echt 'ne "wilde Mischung".
