Steam Linux und GLIBC_2.15

Hi

ich hab mir Staem für linux als rpm nach folgender Anleitung gebaut.
https://github.com/xvitaly/steamrpm

Nach einigen Zusatzinstallationen (libgpg usw.) hab ich es geschafft.
Dummerweise will Steam GLIBC_2.15.

Da ich Suse 12.1 am laufen habe, hab ich nur die GLIBC_2.14
Kennt da jemand eine Lösung dafür ?

Könntest auch diese Version probieren:

kann ich die gefahrlos installieren ?

Die glibc ist sicherlich eine wichtige Systemdati.
Nicht das ich mir das ganze System abschieße.

Das kann ich dir nicht sagen. Du könntest aber bei der Steaminstallation mal auf die Konfliktlösung eingehen. Da kannste zumindest nix mit kaputt machen

die restlichen Fehler untersuche ich gerade noch

Edit:

das mit den Repos habe ich probiert.
Allerdings kamen gleich die Fehlermeldungen das ich mein System Beschädige.


Ich könnte mir allerdings die glibc 2.15 in den Steam-Ordner ziehen und versuchen,
Steam damit zu Verlinken.
Weiß aber nicht wie ich so eine Verlinkung erstelle.

Ok

ich habe mir jetzt die glib als rpm gezogen und bei Steam in einem Unterordner eingefügt.

die Verlinkung habe ich mit

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/.local/share/Steam/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}

erstellt.
Wenn ich jetzt versuche Steam zu Starten bekomme ich nur einen "Speicherzugriffsfehler" :/

Hallo,

nachdem ich mit dem "Speicherzugriffsfehler" so ziemlich abgestorben bin,
hab ich dann doch entschlossen nun doch mein System auf 12.2 zu Updaten.

Nach erfolgreichen Update läuft Steam nun endlich.
Hab aber gleich das nächste Problem:
Aus irgend einem Grund, verliere ich nach einer weile jedes mal die Netzwerkverbindung wenn Steam am laufen ist.

es is zum Heulen...

Aber:

Mein Router stürzt nach einer Weile ab wenn ich Steam am laufen habe.
Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. :schockiert:
Alle Lampen gehen aus bis auf die Power LED
Es ist ein speetport W723V.
