e-mail att, mit open office document, missing

Hello,
I have installed openoffice on my girlfriends XP System. When she writes a document with open office and sends it as an attachment the recipient, working with Ms Office receives an empty attachment.

What are we doing wrong?

Thank you, but I do know that... but it is simply at the moment impossible to register at those forums....
I was probably under the false impression that a linux site might know something about an open org application.

I directed you to the ooo-Forums because I saw that your question is very Windows-specific. We may have some Openoffice gurus around here, but most of them will presumably use it in a Linux environment. Anyway - if somebody knows something about your problem, you will surely get an answer.
