Problem mit Beta Treiber von Creative

Also hab mir vor kurzem das Ubuntu drauf weil mich Windows zuzeit aufregt!!
Jetzt erschien ja mal endlich der Treiber für die Soundkarten von Creative. Aber ich peil es irgendwie nicht wie ich ihn istalliere. Könnt ihr mir vlt. ne Anleitung oder so geben?? Thx

Habe das gleiche Problem mit der X-fi-fatality.
Die Karte wird von Linux erkannt, lspci gibt folgendes aus :

Der neue Beta-Treiber funktioniert nach Angaben von Creative jetzt auch mit neueren Linux-Distributionen >gcc 4.0, soll mit 32 und 64 bit funktionieren.
Den Treiber habe ich in ein neues Verzeichnis entpackt und danach wie vorgesehen installiert. So weit, so gut!
Während des Bootens von OpenSuSe 10.3 taucht die X-fi auch auf, allerdings mit einer Fehlermeldung. Leider rutschen die Zeilen so schnell durch, dass man die Fehlermeldung kaum lesen oder abschreiben kann.
Wie kann ich diese Fehlermeldung posten? Bin für jede Hilfe dankbar!
