Integrierte Webcam funktioniert nicht, sollte aber

Hi,

ich habe das Problem, dass die in mein DELL XPS M2010 integrierte Webcam nicht funkitioniert aber sollte. Denn laut lsusb ist es eine "Logitech Quickcam for Dell Notebooks" (046d:0897).

Google hat mir verraten, dass hier der UVC Treiber funktionieren sollte. Ich habe diesen also ohne Fehler kompiliert und auch ohne Fehler laden können.

Nach einem Testladen mit "modprobe uvcvideo trace=15" zeigt mir dmesg folgende Infomationen an, denen ich entnehme, dass alles geklappt hat:

Allerdings wurde kein /dev/video0 Gerät erzeugt, so dass keine Applikation eine Webcam findet. Getestet habe ich dies mit caminfo, camstream, ucview. Kopete sollte IMHO eh noch nichts finden, da dort nur v4l2 Webcams unterstützt werden, richtig?

Naja, nun bin ich ziemlich ratlos. Wie erhalte ich ein /dev/video0 Gerät? Wer weiss Rat?

Der The linux-uvc-Treiber supportet dieses Device, 046d:c518, nicht. Bist du dir sicher, dass es sich bei diesem Device um eine Webcam handelt?

Der linux-uvc-Treiber ist Video4Linux2-kompatibel.

Ich hatte mich mit der USB-ID vertan und hab eben im obigen Posting fälschlicherweise meine Logitech Maus angegeben. Die Webcam meldet sich mit 046d:0897 und steht mit dieser ID zwar nicht auf der Liste der von UVC unterstützten Geräte ist aber laut Google eine Logitech QuickCam für DELL Notebooks. Wenn ich nun davon ausgehe, dass diese baugleich mit Logitech QuickCam für Notebooks ist, sollte das doch funktionieren, oder? Irgendeine Chance, den Chipsatz auszulesen?

Ich finde keine Linux-Treiber für diese Webcam. Vielleicht richtest du eine Umsetzungsbitte an das eine oder andere Webcam-Treiberprojekt.
