OpenSuse11 + T-Sinus 154data funktioniert [gelöst] nicht

Hallo,
versuche o.a. WLAN Adapter der ersten Generation unter OpenSuse 11 zu laufen zu bekommen. Nach intensive Recherche in den entsprechenden Foren scheint dies auch noch niemandem gelungen zu sein. Habe die gleichen Phänome wir unter diesem Link http://www.linuxforen.de/forums/showthread.php?t=244881&highlight=sinus+154 beschrieben. Poste mal folgende Kommandos und hoffe am Ende ein "gelöst" eintragen zu können.

Wenn Router dann musst Du in dem Script hier: (1) WLAN access point <---> LinuxClient
statt 1 eine 2 eingeben.

Warum benutzt Du nicht Knetworkmanager, es ist einfacher?

Riecht nach Firmware.
Das file laden und zu isl3890usb umbenennen, dann in /lib/firmware kopieren:

Hallo,
ich fasse die beide Antworten mal zusammen: Habe die Firmware aktualisiert und unter /lib/firmware kopiert und entsprechend umbenannt. Anschließend das korriegierte Skript nochmals gestartet. Die Ausgabe des Skripts findet Ihr unten. Mein Rechner hängt sich nach wenigen Sekunden auf. Kann den Rechner nur nutzen, in dem ich den Adapter ausstöpsele.

.. ach ja, eine Info noch: Den KNetworkmanager nutze ich nicht, da ich bislang unter OpenSuse 10.3 den Adapter problemlos über ndiswrapper zum laufen bekommen habe. Umso erfreuter war ich, dass es jetzt einen nativ Treiber gibt.

Du hast eine klassische Netzwerk-Konfiguration mit ifup .
Wenn mit ifup nicht klappt dann versuche doch mit KNetworkManager.
IPV6 kannst deaktivieren.

1. Da sich mein Rechner aufhängt, vermute ich immer noch ein Firmware Problem. Denn nach meinem Verständnis greife ich letztendlich auf die gleiche Firmware zurück.
2. Wenn ich auf den Knetworkmanager umsteige, kann ich sämtlich Einstellungen im Yast vergessen - also ganz oder gar nicht. Richtig?

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
Führe vor dem Aufhängen das Kommando tail -f /var/log/messages um den störenden Prozess zu finden oder poste folgende Ausgabe aus der Konsole netstat -s .
2.Wenn ich auf den Knetworkmanager umsteige, kann ich sämtlich Einstellungen im Yast vergessen - also ganz oder gar nicht. Richtig?
Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
Ja, Du sollst unter Yast die Konfiguration ALLE (WLAN und Ethernet) Karten löschen.

Hallo Leute,

ich habe auch so ein Teil in meiner Kruschkiste liegen. Es ist schon eine Weile her, meine Versuche sind vor ein paar Monaten auch im Sande verlaufen. Der T-Sinus war nur unter M$ und mit dem beigepackten Programm eher mäßig brauchbar. Aber was ist nun? Kann man das Ding mit inzwischen mit OpenSuse wenigstens ein wenig hernehmen?

Hallo,
bin leider noch kein Stück weitergekommen: Habe alle notwendigen Einträge unter YAST gelöscht und den Adapter mit dem KnetworkManager installiert. iwconfig zeigt in aber nichts an - insbesondere kein Gerät als "wlan0" usw. Hauptproblem ist aber, dass sich beim Versuch "collectNWData.sh" laufen zu lassen, mein Rechner immer noch aufhängt, es kommt also gar keine Ausgabe von collectNWData.sh zu stande. Auch ein netstat -s auf der Konsole ist nicht möglich. Die letzten Einträge in /var/log/messages lauten:

Die Power-LED sowie die Link-LED am Adapter leuchten permanent. Die Act-LED flackert mit hoher Geschwindigkeit. Ich würde fast sagen, ich habe ein Firmwareproblem!? Hat jemand eine Idee?

da irgendwie kein weiterkommen zu erkennen ist, habe ich zwischenzeitlich auf 11.1 upgegraded. Seit dem hängt sich die Kiste nicht mehr auf! Komme allerdings immernoch nicht an meinen WLAN-Router, iwconfig über Knetworkmanager zeigt weder die ESSID noch den encryption key an.
Habe daraufhin das gleiche nochmal mit ifup gemacht, also komplett in YAST und siehe da, zumindest die ESSID wird angezeigt, aber immer noch kein encryption key und auch nicht das Default-Gateway. Hier mal der komplette Auszug aus collectNWData.sh:

Die ACT LED am Adapter blinkt allerdings immer noch rasend schnell, alle andere LEDs am Adapter leuchten dauerhaft. Stutzig machen mich jedoch folgende "unknown eeprom code.." Einträge in der /var/log/messages-Datei:

Irgendwie habe ich den Eindruck es liegt tatsächlich ein Firmewarefehler vor - Oder?

Hallo,
ich konnte das Problem lösen: Hatte einen "Zahlendreher" im encryption key. Habe den Adapter über Yast im der traditionellen Methode, also über ifup eingerichtet und er funktioniert jetzt einwandfrei. Habe also:

1. Die Firmware (Link siehe oben) runter geladen, umbenannt und nach /lib/firmware kopiert.
2. Einen Reboot durchgeführt damit der Adapter erkannt wird (kenne hierfür keine andere Methode als den reboot).
3. Anschließend "ganz normal" über Yast den Adapter konfiguriert. Über ifup, mit WPA-PSK, etc.

Die o.a. Fehlermeldung "p54: unknown eeprom code ..." erscheint zwar immer noch, aber der Zugriff ins Internet funktioniert fehlerfrei.
Vielen Dank an Alle die mir weiterhelfen konnten.
