Webserver/Kernelupdate (Netzwerkkarte nicht erkannt)

Hallo,
ich habe ein Problem mit meinem OpenSuSE 10.2 System, nach einigen Updates über YAST (ich glaube u.a. auch Kernelupdate) ist mein Webserver nicht mehr verfügbar.

Ich kann das System nur noch mit einem Rescue System starten, ich meine eine mögliche Ursache in der "Message" Datei unter den Logs gefunden zu haben:

Und siehe da, im besagten Verzeichnis existiert lediglich die Datei "2.6.18.8-0.13-default"

Ich muss gestehen, dass dieses mir jetzt erstmal sehr wenig sagt, ich denke die Netzwerkkarte wird nicht richtig initialisiert.

Die Netzwerkkarte ist eine "02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 01)"

scheint im Rescuemodus auch zu funktionieren, nur wie kann ich sie im Live System wieder (re-)aktivieren?

Das hat eigentlich nichts mit der Netzwerkkarte zu tun. Dem Kernel fehlt die Liste der Modulabhängigkeiten - die besagte "modules.dep". Lass mal depmod laufen.

Hier liegt der Hase im Pfeffer. Die Datei modules.dep fehlt. Die Datei ist aber für die Abhängigkeiten der Module von nöten. Führe mal als root in der Konsole folgendes aus:

.

Dann wird die Datei modules.dep erstellt und es sollte wieder funktionieren.

Danke für den Tipp, hat leider nichts gebracht.
depmod Läuft durch, ohne irgendwelche Meldungen...
...allerdings kann ich das System ja auch nicht mehr so ohne weiteres zugreifen. Ich starte nen Recuemodus und muss dann meine System-Festplatten mounten.

Ich denke, in diesem Fall prüft depmod das Rescue und nicht das Original-System, oder?
