GELÖST WLan mit BCM4318 keine Verbindung vorhanden

Hallo liebe Gemeinde,

ich habe das Problem das meine interne WLankarte (Notebook) jetzt nach der Installation der aktuellen Treiber jetzt auch die Kontroll LED leutet mir jedoch kein einziges WLan SSID anzeigt. Und mich mit meiner (Sidecom) ohne verschlüsselung auch nicht verbindet. HAbe die Daten unter Yast eingetragen. Netzwerkmanager sowie Kinternet verbindet mich nicht.

Die Karte hat folgende Bezeichnung unter Yast:
BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller
Modul: ssb

Da ich ein ganz frischgebackender Linuxbesitze bin und vorher nur mit Windoof gearbeitet habe benötige ein wenig Unterstützung und evtl. ein bisschen Verständiniss. Aber wir alle waren ja mal Anfänger.

Im übrigen habe ich OS 11.0 und KDE 4.0 installiert.

PS: was haltet ihr vom GNOME?

Ich vermute, da fehlt die Firmware.

Grundsätzlich sieht das schon ganz gut aus. Allerdings wird der Sender vom RF-kill wohl noch ausgeschaltet. Gibt es einen Schalter für WLAN an dem Notebook? Den mal betätigen.

Am Rande: Willst du den NetworkManager nicht nutzen? Ich finde den eigentlich sehr komfortabel, wenn man öfter wechselnde Netzwerke hat.

Ja, ich nutze das WLan ansich nur hier wobei der Networmanager konfortabeler ist. Wie richten wir den den ein?

Der Schlater leuchtet balu daher gehe ich davon aus das das WLan an ist. Ich kann auf den Schalter auch drauf drücken, da passiert gar nichts.

Der Status der LED ist mal zu vernachlässigen. Ist egal ob die leuchtet oder nicht.
Log dich mal in einer Konsole als root ein.
Dann ein
Code: 
tail -f /var/log/messages
und die Anzeige im Blick behalten und den Schalter betätigen. Da sollten dann in der Konsole Meldungen auftauchen.

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....

hierfür gehst du ins YAST/Netzwerke/Netzwerkkarte -> Global Einstellungen -> verbindungsaufbau mit Networkmanager

dann auf beenden
es kann passieren dass einige Pakete nachinstalliert werden müssen
