NdisInstaller is a graphical user interface (GUI) to the NDISwrapper-software (http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net).
NDISwrapper allows Linux-users to install MS Windows wireless lan drivers under linux. Because many manufacterers do not ship any Linux-drivers with their devices, such a "driver-wrap" becomes neccessary.
As NDISwrapper is a classical Linux-command-line-utility, it might be difficult to install/use to new Linux-users. This is, where NdisInstaller comes in:
NdisInstaller does not change anything of NDISwrapper, but works hand-in-hand with NDISwrapper instead, providing a graphical frontend to the user.
A comfortable software-assistand is leading the user through the whole setup-process. It also tries to guess as many parameters as possible, to avoid confusing, technical-related questions.
