keine arbeitsgruppen im lokalen netzwerk auffindbar

Hallo,
ich hab nun seit zwei Tagen mein erstes Linux und versuche es mit einen bestehenden Windows-Netzwerk (XP) zu verbinden. Habe Samba installiert und konfiguriert aber beim click auf das "Windoes-Netzwerk" im Konqueror kommt die Meldung "keine arbeitsgruppen im lokalen netzwerk auffindbar".
Was habe ich falsch gemacht?

hast Du sie Packete alle installiert. ???

hast Du den Samba Client konfiguriert ???

laufen die Dienste ???

Ich glaube das ich alle Packete installiert habe(habe bei Installation alles ausgewaehlt ausser gnome).
Samba habe ich konfiguriert.
Eine Fehlermeldung habe ich bislang nicht entdeckt.
Wie kann ich nachschauen ob die Dienste "Welche?) laufen ?

hast du den client auch konfiguriert ???
wenn ja findest du die arbeitsgruppe bei der konfiguration v.client ???

ich habe das mal mit der Suchfunktion gesucht und festgestellt ich habe zwei smb.conf (?).
Eine ist in etc/samba und eine ist in data1/etc/samba
Die erste bringt folgenden Text:

also die erste ist vom ort richtig (etc/samba/smb.conf) aber ich glaube da fehlt etwas.
wo ist die 2 und 3 zeile ???
bezüglich der zweiten die schaut besser aus aber die arbeitsgruppe ist falsch.
warum es eine zwiete gibt weiß ich nicht (hast du vielleicht eine zweites linux auf der anderen partition ???
data1 ist eine andere partition

Also die andere Partition war ein Testsystem welches ich als geloescht gedacht hatte.
Dann liegt es bei mir auf jeden Fall and dem fehlenden "Interface" , sieht wie eine IP-Adresse aus.
Wie hast Du die Zahlen da rein bekommen ?
Ich habe Samba und Samba-Client konfiguriert, mehr habe ich nicht gemacht.

mach ne sicherheitskopie und schreib die fehlenden zeilen dazu und teste
das ganze

kwrite klappt das aendern hervorragend, nur das speichern geht nicht.
Ich nehme an ich muss es als root oeffnen.
Wie geht das?

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....

Konsole öffnen
mit root anmelden:
Code: 
su -
Password:
nun biste root
und mc eingeben.
zur Config navigieren
mit F3 kannst dir diese ansehen und mit F4 bearbeiten.
der mc muss natürlich installiert sein!
Um KWrite unter root zu nutzen musst den Konqueror im Systemverwaltungs-Modus öffnen.
Gibts im K-Menü unter System- Dateiverwaltung.
Aber nimm besser den MC !

unter kde kann man alle programme als root starten

ob das sinnvoll ist und wie das mit sicherheit aussieht, sei einfach mal weggelassen

root = generell tabu, ausg. es geht nicht anders

[ALT]+[F2] kdesu <befehl>
also
[ALT]+[F2] kdesu kwrite
startet kwrite als user root

Mit mc hat es gut geklappt (gefaellt mir).
Aber das Problem ist leider nicht behoben.
Wenn ich das Netzwerk am Baum anklicke kommt eine Fehlermeldung :Übergeordnetes Element smb:/ ist nicht auffindbar. Interner Fehler.".????
Wenn Samba nicht auffindbar ist, wieso kann ich ihn konfigurieren?

ich hatte das bei meinen Laptop auch (suse 9.1)
bei meinen Server hat es sofort gefunkt (Suse 9.0)

ich habe die installierten PAckete kontrolliert und habe einige auf meinen Laptop nachinstalliert und auf einmal hat es wunderbar geklappt-
(leider weiss ich nicht mehr welche aber ich schau nach für dich OK)
ps. check mal deine Packete
