Modemkonfiguration

Hallo erstmal!
Ich habe mir letzte Woche einen Laptop (Acer Aspire 1690) und in einem Griff Suse 10.1 gekauft. Die Installation verlief auch tadellos, bis es darum ging mein Modem zu konfigurieren.
Da ich Neuling bin, weiß ich nicht einmal was für ein Modem das ist, noch wie es es unter Suse zum Laufen bringen kann.
Muss ich es unter PCI Device konfigurieren oder Modem? Brauche ich noch Treiber für Linux?
Wäre nett wenn Ihr mir helfen könntet!
