Nur 10MBit/s im 100MBit/s--Netzwerk

Moin moin.

Ja, ja: das Thema gab's schon hundert Mal - und ich habe auch mindestens hundert Seiten dazu gelesen aber nichts hat mir geholfen...

Also... ichh abe hier ein 100MBit/s-Netzwerk. Beim kopieren von Daten via SSH/SCP (respektive dessen KDE-Implementation "fish") erreiche jedoch höchstens stolze 10MBit/s.

Nachfolgend mal alle informationen, die ich für relevant halte, um das Problem zu lösen.
Hat vielleicht jemand eine Idee?

Am speed vom Interface liegts wohl nicht, denn alle tools sagen 100Mbit/s + fullduplex sei aktiv. Probier mal FTP anstelle von scp, nur um zu sehen, ob es am Overhead von SSH liegt.

Ich habe auch schon erlebt, dass zu ausführliches Logging unter iptables zu hoher Systemlast führt. Das stört die Ver- bzw. Entschlüsselung von SSH durchaus.

Verdammte Gummiwurst!

Es ist Overhead - und zwar von KDEs "fish". Das hatte ich komplett ausgeschlossen, weil ich mir nicht vorstellen konnte, dass das die Bandbreite auf 10% (auf(!) nicht um) senken könnte.

Mit FTP und "purem" SCP gibt's eine Übetragungsrate, die bei einer 1GB-Datei so zwischen 8,9 und 9,6MBit/s schwankt...

Das liegt aber nicht an iptables sondern an syslog-ng, der - wie die viele syslogs da draussen - meist nach jeder Nachricht synct.
Aber `bing 127.0.0.1 192.168.foo.bar` wäre auch mal nicht schlecht zu sehen.
