IMAP mit Windowsclient

Guten Morgen!

Nachdem sich nun einige meiner Probleme mit Linux als Server gelöst haben stehe ich nun vor dem nächsten und weiß nicht weiter.

Ich habe SuSE 10.0 als Mailserver mit fetchmail, cyrus-imapd etc eingerichtet.
Möchte ich nun mit einem Email-Client von Windows (z.B. Outlook) auf den Server zugreifen kommt immer die Aufforderung die Benutzerkennung und Kennwort für den Server einzugeben.
Mache ich das mit dem entsprechenden Daten für dieses Emailkonto passiert nichts und ich werde wieder aufgefordert die Benutzerkennung und Passwort einzugeben.

Gebe ich hingegen root als Benutzernamen und das entsprechende Kennwort ein, funktioniert die Emailabholung!

Wo liegen da die Fehler? Sind es Berechtigungen? Wenn ja wo muss ich diese ändern??

Sind denn die Benutzer mit salspasswd2 eingerichtet? UNd dann halt noch entsprechend in cyrus (user.name) angelegt?
Such da mal in der Ecke...

cyrus und saslpasswd2 wurden beachtet. dennoch funktioniert es nicht wie es soll.

in einer Konsole diesen Befehle eingeben:
tail -f /var/log/mail
in einer zweiten Konsole:
tail -f /var/log/messages

danach den Windows-Client einen Zugriff auf das Postfach durchführen lassen und die Meldungen anschauen. Dort sollte dann stehen was nicht richtig ist

tja, das sieht erst mal so aus als ob dein postfix nicht richtig konfiguriert ist.

zum zweiten die Rechte für die sasldb2-Datei stimmen nicht.

aber das Ausgangsproblem betraf ja den cyrus (imap-Postfach) soweit kommst du ja gar nicht ...

ich empfehle dir die HowTos nochmal sorgfältig durchzuarbeiten und deinen Postfix richtig zu konfigurieren. Dann geht es weiter mit dem cyrus.

ändern zu prefork=1 UND
Der Pfad ist falsch, dort muss der Pfad stehen wo der Postfix drauf lauert, sonst finden die zwei sich nicht, also:

die master.cf fehlt noch .. dort steht der korrespondierende Eintrag zur cyrus.conf.

ich glaube dein Wurzelverzeichnis /var/spool/postfix hat falsche Rechte/Besitzer.

hatte ich auch gedacht. habe dort dann zunächst alle Berechtigungen gegeben, die möglich sind (777).
Besitzer ist root und
Gruppe ist ebenfalls root.

aaargh in der /etc/postfix/main.cf:

queue_directory = /usr/lib/postfix

dort sollte eigentlich etwas stehen wie:

queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix

danach einen rcpostfix restart und die Fehlermeldungen beobachten, evtl startet der postfix dann mal ...

jetzt musst du die Kommunikation postfix --> cyrus noch richten. Siehe obige Anpassungen.

das hatte ich noch letzte Woche erledigt

so, ich habe den server mal komplett neu gestartet.
aber es ist immer noch das gleiche problem, dass der Windowsclient die Anmeldedaten ständig abfragt.

ich habe nebenbei webmin installiert und stelle fest, dass die MAILQUEUE nicht verarbeitet wird.

was nun sprach der blinde..... :roll:

hm, ich dachte du hättest nun etwas gelernt ...

Also, wenn alles gestartet ist, dann zwei Konsolen öffnen und die beiden tail -f Befehle starten. Dann den Zugriff mit dem Windowsclient durchführen und schauen was sich im Logfile getan hat.

Dort stehen dann die Fehlermeldungen, mit denen kann man sehen wo es klemmt ...
