network und mandatory ??

Hallo, seit einiger Zeit verzögert sich der Bootvorgang um einige Sekunden. Was soll das runterzählen und damit verbundene Warten beim booten? Ich habe weder eine feste IP, noch bin ich an ein Netzwerk angeschlossen. Mein System ist SuSE 9.1. Ich bilde mir ein, dass das früher besser ging. Wie kann ich es wieder so ändern, dass der Network-Service versteht, dass da nix zum Warten ist?

In meiner boot.msg findet sich folgendes:

man dhcpcd sagt:

DESCRIPTION
dhcpcd is an implementation of the DHCP client specified in RFC2131 (when -r option is not specified) and RFC1541 (when -r option is specified).

It gets the host information (IP address, netmask, broadcast address, etc.) from a DHCP server and configures the network interface of the
machine on which it is running. It also tries to renew the lease time according to RFC2131 or RFC1541 (obsolete).

und was sagt uns das ?
feste ip vergeben ? ist es dann weg ?
