Kein Internet unter Suse Pro 9.1

Hallo!
Bin ein Newbie und habe seit ca.einer Woche kein Internet mehr.Ich habe keine neuen Prog´s installiert und auch wissentlich nichts verändert. Von einem Tag auf den anderen war´s vorbei mit der Herrlichkeit.

Ich kann leider damit nichts anfangen.
Ich habe versucht,meine Netzwerkkarte mit YAST neu zu konfigurieren. Ohne Erfolg.Die neue Konfiguration läßt sich nicht abspeichern.Das System bleibt stehen.Es hilft nur noch ein Reset.
Meine Datei /etc/resolv.conf ist leer.
Woran könnte es liegen?
Ich habe einige Sachen probiert,ohne Erfolg.Ich tippe mal auf irgendein Software-Prob,weil mein Zugang via Windoof funktioniert.

Mein System:

Epox 8K9A2+ mit Lan on board

AMD Athlon 2400+
512MB DDR-RAM
2x 160GB - Samsung Platten
Terratec-Soundkarte 128 PCI

Wie gelangst du denn normalerweise ins Internet, über einen Proxy im LAN, ein Modem, eine ISDN-Karte oder DSL?

Hatte ich vor ein paar Tagen auch. Der Gigibit-Ethernet-Galileo-Onboard-Adpater war platt, eine extra Netzwerk-Karte eingebaut und alles war ok.

Ich habe einen DSL-Anschluß.
An dem Chip kann es nicht liegen.Habe eine 3Com-Karte eingebaut,ohne Erfolg.Außerdem kann ich mit Windoof ins Netz.Daran liegt es also nicht.

Ich habe die Ergebnisse mal mit denen von den HowTo´s von M.Breitenbach hier im Forum verglichen.Sieht bei mir irgendwie alles ganz anders aus,seufz.

Ich habe übrigens kein Netzwerk mehr,keinen Router und IP-Adresse wird dynamisch vergeben.
Firewall habe ich auch schon abgeschalten und wieder ein,kein Unterschied.
Beim Booten ist mir aufgefallen,daß immer geschrieben steht,daß dsl0 noch nicht aktiv sei.Dann soll ich das Paßwort für meinen Internetzugang eingeben.Aber so schnell kann ich nicht schreiben,wie die Kiste hochrattert.
Naja,ich vertaue auf dieses Forum.Hat mir schon wertvolle Dienste bei meiner Grafikkarte (Thema 3D-Beschleunigung) geliefert.

Die Ausgabe des route Befehls ist hochinteressant.

Wenn du an der Konsole ifconfig eingibst müsste eine ppp0 Schnittstelle erscheinen, wenn nicht musst du deinen DSL-Zugang erst einrichten. Vielleicht ist dies noch nicht geschehen.

Ich habe doch einen eingerichteten DSL-Zugang.Hat bis vor einer Woche ja auch alles geklappt.
Den Zugang habe ich mehrfach mit YAST eingerichtet.Habe immer versucht,verschiedene Einstellungen zu machen.Ergebnis:Kinternet verweigert jede Zusammenarbeit.

Das ist keine Antwort auf die Frage, was letzte Woche war, weiß ich nicht und ich kann von hier aus deine Maschine nicht sehen. Du solltest die Fragen schon beantworten. Existiert die Schnittstelle ppp0 (Konsole aufmachen, su eingeben, rootpassword und dann ifconfig eingeben)?

Genau da eben, dein Problem ist wohl, dass dein Internetzugang nicht eingerichtet ist.

Hast du ein gewöhnliches DSL-Modem?

Apropos von wo aus schreibst du denn, wenn du keinen Zugang hast?

Ich habe zwei Festplatten,eine Windoof,eine Suse.
Momentan schreibe ich von Windoof aus und bei Bedarf wechsle ich schnell nach Suse.
Ich habe so ein 0815-Modem von der Telekom.
Was muß ich denn tun,um das Modem einzurichten,bzw.den Internetzugang als solchen?
Bisher habe ich ohne Probleme über Yast alles konfigurieren können und auch abspeichern.Außer meine Netzwerkkarte,welche ja nur ein Chip ist. Dieser Teil der Konfiguration läßt sich um nichts in der Welt abspeichern.
Wie geht´s denn jetzt weiter?

Nein leider nicht.Das System bleibt stehen und nur ein Reset hilft weiter.

Vielleicht gibts du irgendetwas falsch ein?
Oder hast du zwischendurch eine Kernelkompilierung durchgeführt?

Ansonsten bleibt noch rp-pppoe. Runterziehen auspacken, reingehen ./go aufrufen und alle Fragen wahrheitsgemäß beantworten.

Ich werde das mal probieren und egal,wie es ausgeht,melde ich mich nochmal.
Falscheingeben ist durchaus möglich.Aber ich habe die Konfiguration, so wie sie jetzt geschrieben steht,ca ein halbes Jahr am Laufen gehabt. Ich meine damit nicht ifconfig,usw,sondern die Einträge in Yast.
Was ich auf alle Fälle verhindern möchte,ist eine Neuinstallation.Ich habe auch einige Zeit gebraucht,um meine Grafikkarte (Radeon 9600) zum Laufen zu bringen und einiges andere auch.Du wirst das sicher verstehen.
Was mich an meiner Internetgeschichte wundert,es war von einem Tag zum anderen weg,keine Fehlermeldung,nichts.
Ich habe dann in YAST meine Konfi der Netzwerkkarte gelöscht,um sie neu einzutragen.Leider ging das daneben.
Wie auch immer,ich danke Dir für Deine Geduld und Tips.

Ich lasse meinen DSL-Anschluss schon seit geraumer Zeit über rp-pppoe laufen und habe nie Probleme damit gehabt. Das ganze läuft zwar im userspace aber es läuft stabil. Für rp-pppoe musst du nichts deinstallieren.
