FRITZ!Card PCI driver installation!

Hallo Forenfreunde,

wenn ich im falschen Forum bin, bitte gleich sagen, dann wechsle ich sofort.
Für Fax wollte ich meine Fritz!Card benutzen und habe bei AVM fcpci-suse9.1-3.11-02.tar.gz gezogen, entpackt und auf der Konsole mit ./install aufgerufen. Das Log sagt:

Kannst Du mal folgendes probieren?

Knonsole öffnen, root werden, dann mit cd /usr/src/linux Verzeichnis wechseln.

Dort eingeben:

1. rm .config
2. make cloneconfig
3. make prepare-all


Dann anschliessend nochmal versuchen die Fritz zu installieren...

solche Sätze sind es die am meisten Frust verursachen. ich weiss ihr macht das nicht mit absicht, aber es ist zum :cry:

ich habe doch Suse von der CD installiert, alles lief automatisch!
Woher nehme ich jetzt die "Kernel-Sourcen"?
Wie installiere ich diese?
In / Mit Yast?

Zeit ist Geld und von beiden hat man immer zu wenig- Ich weiss auch das.

Aber ist es nicht einfühlsamer zu sagen: Installiere die Kernel-Sourcen und das macht man so ....

Maku ich will Dir nicht zu nahe treten aber wir haben hier eine Suchfunktion und wenn Du da kernel-sourcen eingibst wirst Du schon genügend Treffer erhalten. Wir haben auch keine Lust uns immer zu wiederholen.

Danke Wolfgang (111Treffer).
Habe mit Yast -YOU einen Kernel patch für die Architektur i86 heruntergeladen und installiert und musste sogar neu starten. Ich glaube es ist nciht das was du meinst.
in usr/src/ ist immer noch kein Verzeichnis "Linux" und die Installation von der Fritz!Card beendet mit der gleichen Fehlermeldung.

Hallo!

Öffne mal den Yast über Kpanel -> System -> Yast -> Software installieren oder löschen

Dann such mal nach kernel und installier das paket kernel-source. Glaube das war alles!

Das hört sich doch mal wieder stark man einer SuSE 9.1 Personal an ?

Also bei mind. einem der 111 Treffer steht, wie ein Personal-User an die Kernel Quellen kommt. Stichwort: FTP-Server!

Das Paket heisst kernel-source-<Version> und die Version muss 100%ig mit der Version des Kernel übereinstimmen.

Und wenn es wirklich eine Personal-CD ist, dann installiere auch gleich noch make, gcc etc. mit:

Nachtrag: ich habe gerade ganz oben gesehen, dass du make installiert hast ??! Dann ist es keine Personal-CD und dann müssen die Kernel-Quellen auch drauf sein!

Die ursprüngliche Version ja, aber ich dachte wohl falsch! Man kann aus einer personal eine prof machen. Dazu hatte ich bei YOU alle rpms auf dem ftp-suse server ausgewählt. War nichts!

So stell ich mir wieterführende Hilfe vor, das mit dem Stichwort gefällt mir. Sollte Brauch werden im Forum. Hoffentlich denke ich hier nicht zu revolutionär.

Leider falscher Schluss! Es ist eine personal aber mit ein bisschen Prof bereits aber immer noch nicht mit allem.
Sollte die personal nicht auch in der LAge sein mir zu ermöglichen Programme die zum Betrieb gehören zu installieren, wie Treiber für Karten etc.?

Um gleich mal mit Missverständnissen aufzuräumen:

1. YOU (Yast Online Update) ist kein Tool zum Installieren von Programmen, sondern zum Updaten von bereits installierter Software!
Du findest dort daher vermutlich nur Software für die Aufgrund von Bugs oder Sicherheitsproblemen Updates bereitgestellt wurden.

2. Aus einer Personal kann immer eine Professional-Version werden, da der Unterschied lediglich auf einer reduzierten Paketauswahl beruht. Nicht umsonst passt die Personal auf eine einzige CD. Durch den Eintrag eines FTP-Servers als neue Installationsquelle kannst du alle fehlenden Pakete (bis auf ein paar kommerzielle Programme, die auf den käuflichen CD's drauf sind) nachinstallieren, als ob du im Besitz einer CD wärst (also über Yast->Software installieren...)

Ich bin gerade dabei über packman und gfwbd oder so alle Pakete, die in der Gruppe - Selection - Entwicklung liegen, zu installieren.

Entscheidend ist, daß du dir von dem SuSE-ftp (oder einem offiziellen Mirror) die SuSE-Sourcen holst, denn die müssen exakt zum installierten Kernel passen und SuSE bastelt da rum...
In dem Verzeichnis /usr/src/ sollte ein Verzeichnis mit den Sourcen liegen, wobei das Verzeichnis exakt die gleiche Nummer mit allem hintendran aufweisen muß wie der Kernel.
Wenn nicht hilft danach evtl. ein Lauf mit YOU

Mich wundert, dass du überhaupt nach Parametern gefragt wirst. Vielleicht liegt das tatsächlich an den nicht zum Kernel passenden Quellen.
'uname -r' und 'rpm -q kernel-source' müssen die gleiche Versionsnummer liefern!

Ich bin kein Experte, aber ich klone den Kernel immer etwas anders:

cd /usr/src/linux
zcat /proc/config.gz > .config
make oldconfig
make prepare

Das sollte keine einzige Nachfrage zur Kernelkonfiguration kommen, wenn der laufende Kernel mit den Quellen übereinstimmt. Und das ist wichtig, damit später der Treiber richtig läuft.

Hallo habe es nachgeprüft:

Ich habe alle rpm nachgeladen sowohl von Suse-FTP und Packman-FTP mit Yast.
Muss ich woanders (WO? Bitte) nach dem 2.6.5-7.108 Kernel suchen und dann die Kernel-sourcen installieren?
Übrigens nach dem Neustart hatte ich Sound aus meinen Boxen und konnte sogar von der NTFS-Partition die mp3s über xmms hören.

Entweder du lässt YOU laufen oder holst dir die Quellen hier:

mal ne ganz blöde Frage: Wozu den Treiber für die FritzCard installieren? Die läuft doch auch so aus der Box raus.

Hi Maku,

wie der abisko ja bereits gesagt hat, passen deine Sourcen nicht zum aktuellen Kernel. Das heisst für dich YAST starten und dann bei Kernel-Sourcen auf aktualisieren klicken oder YOU ausführen.

abisko: make cloneconfig fasst übrigens deine zwei Schritte zusammen...



Rotznase, so blöd ist deine Anregung gar nicht. Vielleicht fehlt das Paket halt nur wieder bei der Personal?
