[gelöst] WLAN Karte nicht konfigurierbar

Hallo liebes Forum,

leider habe ich (mal wieder) Probleme mit meinem WLAN. Die Karte scheint erkannt zu werden, lässt sich aber nicht mehr konfigurieren. Das drahtlose Netzwerk lässt ich mit KNetworkmanager nicht mehr aktivieren. Bis vor einigen Tagen ging alles ohne Probleme und ich bin mir keiner (Konfigurations-)Schuld bewusst. :/

Dann habe ich in /var/log/messages noch folgendes gefunden

Hat jemand eine Idee? Ich bin mir nicht mal sicher, ob es sich um ein Softwareproblem handelt oder die Karte schlicht und einfach kaputt ist.

Versuche das zu ändern mit Kommando:

Hier ein Auszug aus man iwconfig:
txpower

In addition, on and off enable and disable the radio, and auto

Hast Du mal als root versucht die Textdatei zu erzeugen und unter dem Namen im angegebenen Verzeichnis abzuspeichern?
Dann noch ein

Oohh Mann!
Es war ein Hardwareproblem. Der Schalter für die WLAN-Karte an der Frontseite des Notebooks war in der Off-Position. Bislang habe ich diesen Schalter überhaupt nicht wahrgenommen. Ein Blick ins Handbuch des Rechners hat mir weiter geholfen.

Peinliche Vorstellung... klassischer Fall von "Read the manual" :eek:ps:

Das ist kein Problem. Genau dieses kommt immer mal wieder vor. Deshalb wird auch im Script collectNWData danach gesucht. Dieses wird gemacht durch

Nur leider ist da bei Dir nichts gefunden worden :???:

Könntest Du vielleicht noch einmal die Karte ausschalten und den Rechner restarten und mir dann den Inhalt Deiner /var/log/messages sowie dmesg per eMail zuschicken? Ich könnte dann mal nachsehen ob es doch eine Indikation in den Logs zu diesem Fehler gibt und dann im Script danach suchen und eine Fehlermeldung ausgeben. Dann würde dieser blöde Fehler zukünftig vom Script entdeckt werden und eine lange FehlerSuche erspart ;)

mafg hat mir Logs und Ausgaben von collectNWData zwecks Analyse zugeschickt. Sieht so aus als könnte das Script auch bei diesem Schlepptop feststellen, dass das WLAN per Schalter ausgeschaltet ist :roll:
