Keine WLAN- Verbindung ISL3886? [gelöst]

Ich habe mit meiner Vivanco- WLAN Karte (PCMCIA), seit opensuse 11.2 das Problem, daß die bisher verwendete Firmware nicht mehr funktioniert hat. Ich habe mir zwar dann die neueste Firmware heruntergeladen, unter 11.2 ließ sich die Karte aber auch weiterhin nicht einrichten und es erschien ständig die Meldung, daß die Firmware fehlen würde. Heute habe ich die neue Version von opensuse, 11.3 installiert und siehe da, nach dem Kopieren der Firmware in den Ordner "Firmware", ließ sich die Karte wieder problemlos einrichten. Allerdings wird sie in den Netzwerkeinstellungen immer als "nicht verbunden" angezeigt. Die LED´s "Act." und "Link" bleiben aus, es wird aber trotzdem mein Drahtlosnetzwerk angezeigt. Versuche ich dann, eine Verbindung herzustellen, dauert es kurze Zeit und ich soll dann meinen WPA- Schlüssel eingeben. Nach einiger Zeit, erscheint dann wieder die Eingabeaufforderung für den Netzwerkschlüssel, eine Verbindung kommt letztendlich nicht zu Stande. Dann steht in den Netzwerkeinstellungen auch immer noch ein "Unbekanntes Gerät", welches noch nicht konfiguriert ist. :???:

Ich bin jetzt nach dieser Anleitung vorgegangen mit dem Ergebnis, daß sich nichts geändert hat. Im Gegenteil, die WLAN- Karte funktioniert jetzt überhaupt nicht mehr und lässt sich nicht mehr einrichten, da angeblich wieder die Firmware fehlt.

Wie sieht denn die Ausgabe vom Script jetzt aus? prism54 mal auf die Blacklist setzen und wenn p54pci nicht automatisch startet mal manuell laden. Auch mal bei dmesg nach Fehlermeldung(en) nach fehlender Firmware schauen.

Wenn ich das in der Konsole eingebe, kommt gar nichts. Allerdings werden danach wider die erreichbaren Drhtlosnetzwerke angezeigt. Die LED´s an der Karte sind allerdings beide aus und es lässt sich auch keine Verbindung herstellen.

ein. Es kann sein, dass der (K)NetworkManager abstürzt, diesen dann halt wieder starten.

Eine Wlan- Verbindung kommt auch weiterhin nicht zu stande, die LED "Act." an der Karte leuchtet jetzt gelb und im Network Manager heißt es, "Autorisierung wird erwartet". Die Signalstärke liegt laut Anzeige bei um die 50%, was überhaupt nicht stimmen kann, denn ich bin nur 3 Meter vom Router entfernt und es ist auch keine Wand dazwischen.

Ja, die gute alte Prism-Karte...ich ärgere mich auch jedesmal dass SUSE nicht die Open-Source Firmware mitschicken kann... (siehe

Der Fall hat sich für mich erledigt, denn ich hab das alte Notebook mittlerweile entsorgt und mit ihm auch gleich diese nervige WLAN- Karte. Ich hab jetzt ein Terra Mobile 1545, mit eingebautem WLAN. Da funktionierte gleich nach der Installation alles und ich hab keine Probleme mehr.
