Hallo,

habe mir ein Sony Notebook VPCEB1J1E zugelegt und Linux aufgespielt.
WLAN funktioniert, aber die Bit Rate = 1Mb/s ist extrem zu langsam.
Habe einige Distributionen ausprobiert - immer das Gleiche.

Ob Arch, Ubuntu, openSuSE 11.3 RC1 immer nur 1 Mb/s

In den Foren gesucht und compat-wireless-2.6.34 installiert - kein Erfolg.

habe noch weiter geforscht und bin dabei darauf gestoßen, dass die Verbindung laufend abbricht.

Habe dmesg | grep ath9k ausgeführt, es kam folgende Meldung:

Mit der Meldung Two wiphys .... kann ich nichts anfangen, googeln hat auch nichts gebracht.

Wer weiß Rat ?

Hallo,

die WLAN Verbindung ist mit wicd konfiguriert.

Anmeldung und Verbindungsaufbau zum Router funktionieren automatisch und absolut problemlos,
dh. besser als mit dem KDE Networkmanager.

Dieser false/positive sollte nicht mehr kommen. Ich habe den Teil im Script, der die Netzwerkinterfaces prüft, heute völlig neu geschrieben. War schon längst überfällig :eek:ps:

Hallo,

Problem mit dem Atheros WLAN-Chip AR9285 ist gelöst.

Die starken Schwankungen in der Übertragung und die ständigen Verbindungsabbrüche sind weg.

Auf der Seite: http:/linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download/Download_latest_Linux_wireless_drivers
den Link compat-wireless-2.6 download directory angeklickt und den neuesten tarball heruntergeladen.

Dieses Archiv entpackt und in das Verzeichnis gewechselt.

Danach wie auf der o.g. Seite beschrieben mit ./scripts/driver-select ath9k den ath9k Treiber selektiert.
Für andere WLAN-Chips sind Auswahlmöglichkeiten vorhanden, einfach nur den Befehl ohne Treiber absetzen.

Dann mit make und sudo make install den Treiber kompiliert und installiert.

Danach lief WLAN problemlos.

Hatte das ganze schon vorher probiert, erfolgreich war aber erst das Ganze mit der Version vom 11.10.2010.

Ich hoffe damit, für dieses Problem, Anderen zu helfen.
