Firefox 3.6 startet nicht mehr

Hallo und guten Abend,
ich bekomme meinen Firefox nicht zum Start überredet. Nach einem Doppelklick hüpft nur der Ball paar Sekunden,
danach ist er wieder weg,
Installiert ist:

Ich hab ".mozilla" gelöscht und neu installiert, das Verzeichnis hat er aber nicht wieder angelegt.
Irgendwie finde ich auch die Version von "MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE-3.5-8.9.1.x86_64" nicht so wirklich passend.
Sollte das dann nicht auch 3.6 sein ?

Wobei die Prio's von den Repos 1-8 jeweils auf 96 stehen.
Wenn ich Firefox aus der Konsole (root) starte, bekomme ich eine Fenster, das die Konfigurationseinstellungen
nicht gespeichert werden können. Als User tut sich garnichts.

was meinst du mit "als User tut sich gar nichts"?

Irgend eine Ausgabe auf der Konsole musst du doch bekommen, wenn du den Firefox als User aus der Konsole heraus startest,...

Gleiches Problem hier!

Nach Update auf die neue Version 3.6.x startet FF einmal, allerdings OHNE die vorher festgelegten Startseiten; bei einem erneuten Starten tut sich nix mehr!

Bin wieder zurück auf die Version 3.5.7 -> Keine Probleme mehr!

... hatte ich ja gemacht (siehe Post), aber er legt es nicht mehr an. Händisch angelegt interessiert es ihn nicht.

Die Pakete passen. Mich wundert nur, dass du im ersten Post 64Bit-Pakete angegeben hast.
Ich würde mal noch zypper ve und zypper in -f MozillaFirefox ausführen.

Wenn ich vorher root werde bekomme ich eine Meldung das Konfigurationseinstellungen nicht
gespeichert werden können. Alles zurückgesetzt, dann startet er. Aber nicht aus dem
Starter heraus bzw. als normaler User.

Hmm,
meine vorerst letzte Idee: befindet sich etwas in ~/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports ?
Falls ja, mal über www.nopaste.info (je nach Größe) posten.

Nichs drin, ich hatte das Verzeichnis auch händisch angelegt, da er nach der Neuinstallation das nicht angelegt hatte.
