[gelöst] kein Kontakt zu localhost

fetchmail soll meine Mails abholen. Nach der Zwangstrennung meldet das Log vom fetch SMTP Fehler kein Kontakt zum localhost. Das Prob besteht seit meinem Vesuch den WLAN-Stick zum laufen zu bringen. Den habe ich nun aus der Config rausgeschmissen. In /etc/hosts ist der Server eingetragen als localhost auf dem lo als 127.0.0.1 und als linux11 mit 192.168.11.10. Named läuft. Mit nslookup localhost wird der Nameserver 192.168.11.10 und der localhost 127.0.0.1 ausgegeben. Ping von den Clients wird auch aufgelöst.
Weder ein #>rcfetchmail restart noch ein #>rcnamed restart helfen dem Prob ab. Im Moment hilft nur ein reeboot.

Interessanter Weise kann ich im YAST Network-Device im Register DNS den DNS-Server nicht mehr ändern, der ist eingetragen und angegraut.
Habt Ihr eine Ahnung was der Kiste da passiert?

Der Kiste ist nichts passiert. Du hast DNS- Server so konfiguriert, dass er auch auf 127.0.0.1 auf Anfragen wartet, was unsinnig ist, weil es die IP für den localhost ist, das der Schnittstelle lo zugeordnet ist und als Loopback bezeichnet wird.

Sorry, das verstehe ich nicht. Das loopback steht Standardmäßig mit 127.0.0.1 localhost und :::1 localhost in der hosts. Der Named hat von Haus aus die localhost.zone respektive in.addr.arpa.zone
Nach einem reboot komme ich mit telnet localhost 25 auf den SMTP, nach der Wiedereinwahl nicht mehr. netstat -plant|grep 25 liefert aber ein
0.0.0.0:25 blah blah 4537/master
:::1:25 irgendwas /master
Der fetchmail pollt POP3 und will dann an den Postfix (der ja auf dem localhost ist) übergeben. Kann er aber nicht da nach der Wiedereinwahl auch telnet keine Verbindung bekommt. Dazu habe ich im Netz auch schon was gefunden nur ohne Lösung. Pings von den Clients werden nach drinnen und draußen sauber aufglöst. Der fetchmail kann aber nicht zum localhost verbinden. Irgendwie scheint das kein DNS Prob zu sein. Nur ein postfix neustart bringt halt auch nix der ja am Port 25 das Ohr haben soll. System Mail wird aber zugestellt.

Was den für eine Wiedereinwahl???? Wenn du einen Router hast, musst du dich nirgends einwählen. Das bind eine Zonen Datei für den localhost hat ist normal. Das er aber auf Anfragen auf der localhost Schnittstelle wartet ist Schwachsinn. Hast du für dien internes Netzwerk eine Zonendatei angelegt? Wenn du nur diesen Rechner im Netz hast ist der Betrieb eines Nameservers unsinnig.

Was sagen den die Logfiles?

Ich habe halt nur ein DSL-Modem. Der Server wählt also selber und trennt auch per Script. Hat alles funktioniert bis zum Test mit dem WLAN Stick. fetchmail log sagt SMTP error ... SMTP connect to localhost failed. In den Mail-logs ist nichts, in der messages ist nichts, in firewall ist nichts, in warn ist nichts.

Habe aus der forwarders.conf den externen (ISP) DNS rausgenommen. Im Moment gibt es keine Fehler. Beobachten!

Mit telnet localhost 25 stelle ich eine Verbindung zum postfix her und nicht zum named. In der named.conf gibt es sehr wohl eine listen und allow-query directive in der der localhost aufgeführt ist. hosts.conf lautet auch order hosts, bind; also erst in die hosts schauen dann den named fragen wenn hosts keine Auskunft gibt.
Ja Zonen für internes Netz sind deklariert ohne dyndns-update vom dhcp da dort hardware address.

Mal sehen ob ich mit der Änderung in der forwarders.conf jetzt weiter komme

Interessant sind die Logfiles, wie viele Netzwerkschnittstellen hat dein Rechner? Auf welchem Rechner läuft der DHCP- Server?

Wie sehen die Konfigurationen aus?

Wenn du nicht mal langsam mit mehr Informationen rüber kommst, damit man dir helfen kann, sperre ich den Thread.

Ich hoffe ich habe nicht zuviel reingepackt. Einfach löschen wenns die Datenbank belastet.

Das erste, was mir auffällt ist

fetchmail: Server certificate verification error: self signed certificate in certificate chain
fetchmail: Server certificate verification error: certificate has expired

Deshalb bricht fetchmail auch ab. Überprüfe das mal und behebe den Fehler.
Wenn du das Zertifikatsproblem behoben hast, dann testest du, ob es wieder funktioniert wie es soll.


Folgendes hat zwar nichts mit dem eigentlichen Problem zu tun.

Vorsichtshalber solltest du dir mal mit smartctl -a die Informationen der Platten anzeigen lassen.

Das abgelaufene Zertifikat war es nicht. Hatte ich jetzt in der fetchmailrc auskommentiert. Auch noch mal alte fetchmail.log.gz angesehen. 3 MB wo das Zertifikat angemeckert wurde aber alles funktionierte.

Ich mach jetzt ne Neuinstallation mit Suse 11.2 und wenn alles läuft sichere ich mir die Configs.

Du sollst dann nicht in alten Logfiles nachsehen, sondern in dem aktuellen und den Inhalt posten.

Linux ist nicht Windows. Eine Neuinstallation ist unnötig, der Wille das Problem zu lösen dagegen ist unerlässlich.

Doch! Soll ich! Ich will nämlich das Problem lösen. Das heist halt auch herausfinden ob die Meldungen, welche Du für die Ursache hälst, in früheren Fällen zu einem Fehler geführt haben. Und wenn der Kram trotz abgelaufener Zertifikate drei Monate läuft, wird es schwierig zu erklären warum es bei gleicher Meldung plötzlich nicht mehr funzt.

Richtig, keine kryptischen Schlüssel, keine unverständlichen Werte. Feine Klartext configs und kaum notwendige Neustarts. Wenn ich das Gefühl hätte mich dem Problem zu nähern würde ich gern auf die Neuinstallation verzichten (ich würde dann auch was lernen). Aber in vermutlich 5-6 Stunden habe ich das Teil neu gemacht. Ich brüte aber schon 10-15 Stunden an dem Problem.

BITTE nicht nur überfliegen
Ich glaube das Problem ist hier falsch, es gehört wohl eher zu Postfix???? Keine Ahnung.
Solange der fetchmail meldete SMTP connect to localhost failed bekam ich mit telnet localhost 25 keine Verbindung. Nachdem ich den externen DNS aus der forwarders.conf herausgenommen habe bekomme ich eine Verbindung (Postfix mit amavisd-new und spamassassin). Auch zum Port 10025 aber nicht mehr zum Port 10024. Der Postfix nimmt ja an 25 die Mail entgegen reicht sie über 10024 an den amavis weiter und bekommt sie dann an 10025 zurück um sie auszuliefern. Was ich nicht verstehe ist wie dieses Verhalten mit der forwarders.conf zusammenhängt bzw. mit der Einrichtung des WLAN-Sticks.

Sitze gerade am Win-Client. mail-log liefere ich nach
SuSEconfig habe ich laufen lassen nach dem ich in den configs rumeditiert habe. Muss noch mal nachschauen ob ich den postfix aus der SuSEconfig herausgenommen hatte.

So, die Befürchtung liegt nahe das es die hosts war. die IPv6 adresse sollte nicht als erstes stehen. Erstaunlich das Port 10025 aufgelöst werden konnte und 10024 nicht. Die 127.0.0.1 an erste Stelle gesetzt und 10024 funzt und 25 sowie 10025 nicht. amavis und postfix neu gestartet, alles läuft.
Beobachten!

Abschluß:
Es war die /etc/hosts. Anscheinend kann der Postfix mit IPv6 und der amavisd kann es nicht. Auf jeden Fall werde ich bei späteren Änderungen im System konsequent dokumentieren was ich tue. Die hosts habe ich mir beim basteln wohl selber zerschossen. Hätte ich in der hosts.conf das order hosts, bind auf order bind, hosts geändert wäre das Problem wohl schnell gelöst gewesen (reine Hypothese).
