Hallo,

seit meinem Umstieg auf openSUSE 11.2 funktioniert die WLAN-Verbindung nicht mehr. Weder unter der traditionellen Methode mit YAST oder mit dem KNetworkmanager (zuvor Konfigurationen unter YAST gelöscht). Die Kabelverbindung eth0 oder eth1 läuft unter beiden Methoden. Leider weiß ich auch nicht so genau wodran das liegen könnte. Denn bei der Ausgabe von lsmod läuft ath5k.

Hallo,

was kann ich tun, dass eine firmware gefunden wird?

Ich kann mich dunkel daran erinnern, dass bei den openSUSE 10.x Versionen extra diese madwifi Treiber installiert werden mussten. Mit der 11.0 war das aber, meine ich, nicht mehr nötig gewesen.
Hat das was damit zu tun?

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
Sobald man das mal bei Tante G reinwirft kommen Ergebnisse fuer DVB-T. Hast Du eine DVB-T-Karte eingebaut/angeschlossen?

Wenn denn Firmware fehlen wuerde, wuerde doch auch kein Netz gefunden werden.

Kann es sein das sich das Passwort fuer das WLan geaendert hat, oder Du versuchst Dich mit dem falschen Netz zu verbinden?

Trotzdem waere es sicherlich nicht falsch den Link von tisu mal anzuschauen.

Hallo,

ich bin etwas irritiert. Ich habe eine TV-Karte. Aber diese hat einen Conexant CX23880 Chipsatz. Aber eine Karte die oben genannte Firmware braucht, besitze ich nicht.

Was mir auffällt ist, dass ich seit gestern den KNetworkmanager aktiviert habe. Zuvor habe ich die Netzwerkschnittstellen in YAST gelöscht bzw. deaktiviert bzw. sie werden nun als unkonfiguriert geführt. Das Internet läuft ohne Problem per Kabel. Es wird mir zwar mein WLAN im KNetworkmanager angezeigt und das es auch aktiv ist. Aber wenn ich das Netzwerkkabel entferne, kann ich das WLAN nicht nutzen. Ich habe auch die Verschlüsselung und das dazugehörige Passwort nochmals überprüft.
Die WLAN Karte hat einen Atheros Chipsatz. Sofern scheint SUSE die Karte auch richtig erkannt zu haben.

seit dem ich hier mein Problem gepostet habe, sind ja einige Tage vergangen. In der Zeit kann ich zwar immer noch nicht per WLAN ins Internet. Aber zu mindestens wird das DSL-Modem erkannt. Ich habe noch mal das collect-Script laufen lassen, während ich kein Netzwerkkabel eingesteckt habe und so mit nur das WLAN aktiv ist (und als solches auch im Knetworkmanager so angezeigt wird):

Interessant ist, dass kein Default-Gateway installiert sein soll. Aber das Netzwerkkabel schließe ich ja an meinem DSL-Modem an und es funktioniert. Von daher verstehe ich diese Meldung nicht.

Hat nicht doch jemand eine Lösung für mich?

Das WLAN wird im Knetworkmanager als aktiv angezeigt. Ich komme nur nicht darüber ins Internet. Über eth0 oder eth1 über dasselbe DSL-Modem ist alles kein Problem. Das collect-Script habe ich ja eine message vorher gepostet.

Es wäre schön, wenn mein Kabelsalat in der Wohnung wieder verschwinden würde.

Was liefert denn route -n wenn Du über eth0 oder eth1 ins Netz gehst? So wie es aussieht wird wohl keine DefaultRoute vom NWM gesetzt - warum auch immer :???: . Das kannst Du aber manuell nachholen.

Halt leider nicht funktioniert. Ich habe zuerst
route -n | grep UG | awk ' { print $2 }'
eingegeben mit folgendem Ergebnis: 192.168.1.1

Dann habe ich
route add default gw 192.168.1.1
eingegeben. Aber danach funktioniert das WLAN immer noch nicht.

Wenn ich anschließend nur route -n eingebe, erscheint dann folgendes:

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
Warum steht hier eth1 und wlan0? Bei der obigen Ausgabe vom Script mit wlan war nur wlan0 definiert :???: Auch dass plötzlich das default GW 2 mal definiert ist.
Bitte starte noch mal Deinen WLAN Setup - und stecke KEIN Kabel in eth1 rein. Dann adde das default GW wie oben von mir beschrieben und poste noch mal die Ausgabe von route -n.

Warum der ping zum DNS Namen funktioniert aber zur IP nicht ist mir auch ein Rätsel :???: :???: :???:

Ich hatte beim letzten mal den Fehler gemacht, das ich den Befehl route -n angewendet hatte, nachdem ich wieder das Netzwerkkabel eingestöpselt hatte. Deshalb war auch eth1 zu sehen.

Laut Angaben vom knetworkmanager hat wlan0 eine IP-Adresse zugewiesen bekommen und auch eine Nameserver-Adresse (192.168.1.1)

Das passt wieder. Sieht so aus als würden das default GW und der DNS nicht gesetzt werden. Schreibe nach dem default GW setzen noch

ja genauso funktioniert es. Mit dem Eintrag des Nameservers 192.168.1.1 in der /etc/resolv.conf unddas setzen des default Gateways mit route add default gw 192.168.1.1 habe ich Zugang zum Internet.
Aber ich muss jedes mal beim Neustart des Rechners das default Gateway neu setzen. Kann man das automatisieren?
