Downloadgeschwindigkeit wird gebremst

Hallo,

nachdem ich viel gesucht und gelesen habe brauche ich etwas Unterstützung.

Ich bin nun schon seit vielen Jahren Linux-User aber doch etwas eingerostet.
Ich habe lange mit Suse 9.3 gearbeitet und erst vor kurzem 11.0 auf einen neuen Pc installiert.
Wie gewohnt ohne nennenswerte Probleme. Nun soll ich für einen Bekannten einen Laptop unter Linux einrichten.
Bedingung==> Wlan. Kein Problem hab ich gesagt.....Bis auf den Umstand, dass ich auf der Console völlig eingerostet bin.
Soviel zur Vorgeschichte.
Fakt:
Hardware: Laptop HP Compaq 6715S & Speedport w701

Bis auf ein paar kleine Geschichten wie Bios Einstellung und welches Treiberchen nehmen wir denn mal und wie wollen wir das Wlanmodul ansprechen alles bestens.

Problem: Downloadgeschwindigkeit eiert so zwischen 10 bis 25 kb/s rum. Oder in Pingrücklaufzeit von 700ms bis 4000ms!
Mein Rechner(ich mag kein Wlan) bringt per Draht 0,6ms, ping in beiden Fällen auf die Router ip.

Aber nun wird es Lustig! Fragt bitte nicht warum ich folgendes gemacht habe, bzw...egal.

Aktuelle Verbindung über Knetworkmanager, Phänomen ist aber auch in anderen Konfiguration gleich..

Also ich habe KWifimanager aufgerufen, wegen der Anzeige der Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit, es funzt aber nicht wirklich, zeigt nur die IP des Wlanmoduls an.
Wenn ich jetzt eine Verbindung über Knetworkmanager erstelle und den Router anpinge erstmal wie gehabt...
Nun drücke ich den Button von KWifi "Nach Netzwerken suchen..." und dies mehrfach...jetzt veringert sich die Rücklaufzeit des pings auf 4ms!
Bei Dateidownload erhöht sich die Transferrate auf ca. 350kb/s und mehr....

Wo muß ich jetzt ansetzen? Wie gesagt..etwas eingerostet.

Intstalliere gerade wieder die 11.0 ohne acpi!
