Etch via Debootstrap

Hallo, ich habe versucht auf meinem Strato Server Debian Etch mittels Debootstrap zu installieren. (Anleitung gefolgt)

Da ich kein Software Raid haben möchte und mir eine frische Etch installation lieber ist als eine geupdatete sarg->etch (vorallem bei den Strato preinstall).

Soweit hat alles gut geklappt nur kommt jetzt beim start folgende fehlermeldung

Es sollte irgendetwas falsch eingestellt sein im Bereich hdd nur leider find ich es nicht :(
ich habe 2 160gb HDD´s (dev/sda + dev/sdb) die sollen getrennt arbeiten (sda boot + debian + daten , sdb daten2)

Schau dir mal grub an: hd und Du willst auf ein sd zugreifen. Könnte da der Fehler liegen? Ich bin kein grub experte, aber das riecht nach einem Fehler.

root (hd0,0) meinst du bestimmt, aber das ist richtig da habe ich auch erst gestutzt, aber laut den ganzen faq´s stimmt das :/

bin irgendwie ratlos :(

ja das ist richtig. Grub unterscheidet nicht zwischen IDE,SCSI,SATA oder sonstwas. Grub nummeriert die Platten nach der Reihenfolge die das Bios vorgibt. Somit gibt es da nur hdx,x :)

Was mir auffält ist das er sysfs und devfs auf /root/sys bzw dev mounten will was es natürlich nicht gibt! Da ist irgendwas verkehrt in der confix von dem Zeug denke ich. Und ohne sysfs und devfs kann er kein rootfs mounten bzw findet er /sbin/init nicht weil er ja nichts mounten kann weil die blockdevices nicht existierten...
